  If you are from down south or just the country this place is for you. The location and venue remind me of a few places that I have been to in South Carolina. Down home feel, fried chicken from the kitchen, cheep drinks at the bar, old hot rods out front in a no frills building. Good times at this place.

  Lamont's at Pomonkey provides an unpretentious, friendly, down- to - earth atmosphere for those who like live blues, soul, southern soul music and delicious soul food. Lamont's offers a one of a kind venue for this area --- and his prices cannot be matched anywhere.
  His outside summer shows have featured Marvin Sease, Tyrone Davis, The Temptations Review, Gene Chandler, Roy C, Latimore, Bobby Rush, Mel Waiters, Denise LaSalle, Clarence Carter, Ms. Jodi, Baby Washington, Jeff Floyd, William Bell, Lee Fields, Bobby Blue Bland, Little Milton and many others.

  I came for a cookout style event and had a great time. Large area, plenty of parking, great crowd of people.
